Quran Learning
The Quran Learning branch of the Eritrean Community in Western Australia (ECWA) is devoted to nurturing a deep understanding and appreciation of the Holy Quran among children, youth, and adults. Our programs aim to strengthen the spiritual and moral foundations of the community through Quranic education, memorization, and recitation training.
Our Core Programs
- Quran Recitation Classes: Regular sessions teaching proper pronunciation (Tajweed) and fluent recitation for all age groups.
- Memorization (Hifz) Program: Structured learning plans for students committed to memorizing the Holy Quran with guidance from qualified instructors.
- Islamic Studies: Supplementary lessons focusing on Islamic values, manners, and teachings from the Prophet (peace be upon him).
- Weekend Learning Circles: Family-friendly classes held on weekends to strengthen faith and promote community learning.
- Annual Quran Competition: Encouraging excellence in memorization and recitation through friendly competitions.
Class Schedule
Classes are held every Saturday and Sunday at the community centre. Flexible morning and afternoon sessions are available to accommodate different age groups. Please refer to the Announcements section for upcoming schedules and special Ramadan programs.
