Women Affairs
The Women Affairs branch of the Eritrean Community in Western Australia (ECWA) plays a key role in uplifting and supporting Eritrean women through empowerment, education, and cultural engagement initiatives. Our programs are designed to foster confidence, leadership, and community contribution among Eritrean women living in WA.
Our Key Programs
- Health & Wellness Workshops: Covering topics such as women’s health, nutrition, and mental wellbeing.
- Entrepreneurship & Skills Training: Sessions that encourage women to develop business ideas and gain practical skills.
- Cultural Engagement: Events and discussions that preserve Eritrean heritage and values, with a focus on women’s roles in the community.
- Mentorship & Networking: Building mentorship connections between established women leaders and young women.
- Family & Parenting Support: Community guidance on balancing modern life with cultural traditions and faith.
How We Support Women
Our Women Affairs team collaborates with health professionals, educators, and business mentors to deliver meaningful support for Eritrean women. We ensure that no member of our community feels isolated — fostering mutual care, knowledge sharing, and cultural pride.
